Flywheel having 3 threaded holes for pullers around the center flywheel nut hole DOES NOT FIT MODELS WITH THREADED CENTER. NO METRIC BOLTS FURNISHED, I RECOMMEND "BOLTDEPOT" FOR METRICS NEVER. Disassemble or try to pull. Outboard flywheel with a gear puller! The 40 HP OMC flywheel in the picture above looks solid, but it (and most all outboard flywheels) acts as the motors' harmonic balancer. You will cause it to fail from imbalance or just plain break the flexplate. The puller shown above will allow proper removal of all flywheels with 3 bolts near the crankshaft. You may have to get the proper bolts for your application locally depending on motor (included bolts fit most outboards). The ones with 6 radial lines on the head.

Can also be used to pull many propshaft bearing carriers using long bolts.
